"Avoid waste and live with basic necessities especially at Christmas
time, when so many people squander money even for superfluous things":
is the appeal launched by Honduran Cardinal. Óscar Andrés Rodríguez,
Archbishop of Tegucigalpa.
During Sunday Mass in the city's Cathedral,
the Cardinal also complained about "so much hatred and sense of
challenge in society" and called on all to spiritual renewal.
"We need
our lives to change and be transformed, abandoning some attitudes,
behaviors and changing our way of living".
Cardinal Rodriguez stressed
the fact that the world continues to be "immersed in its contradictions,
violating and ignoring justice, peace and brotherhood among human
beings".
